Here’s a fun little piece of Yorkville history — the Traynor Reverb Mate 40, from back when Yorkville was also building amps for Hughes & Kettner. Same clever Canadian engineering, just wearing its Sunday best in creamy tolex.

This 40-watt combo delivers sparkling cleans, a surprisingly gutsy overdrive, and that unmistakable Yorkville reliability. The EQ section (bass, middle, treble, and presence) lets you shape your tone precisely, while the onboard spring reverb and stereo chorus add width and shimmer. Both the reverb and chorus can be toggled via footswitch (not included), and there’s also a channel-select jack for switching between clean and drive on the fly — perfect for players who like to go from sweet to snarl mid-song.

Condition-wise, it’s in excellent working order with a little wear on the cream tolex — a few small marks and smudges that just add a touch of vintage charm. Built solid, sounds great, and easy to haul to rehearsals or small gigs.
